Player Feature: Katelyn Gosling

Katelyn Gosling is in her second year with the Calgary Inferno. Gosling played her college hockey with the Western University Mustangs in her hometown of London, Ontario. She was co-captain of the 2014-2015 that won the CIS Women’s Hockey Championship. Gosling was named captain in 2015-2016, her final season with the Mustangs. In that season she was named to the Ontario University Athletics first team all-star and the CIS first team all-Canadian.

Katelyn has represented Canada multiple times over the years. She was on the silver medal winning squad for the 2015 Winter Universiade in Spain, and served as captain for team Canada at the 2017 Winter Universiade in Kazakhstan where they also took home silver. She also played for Team Canada for the gold medal winning squad at the 2016 Nations Cup, and took home silver at the same tournament in 2017.

Best moment as a player: winning cis nationals while at western and playing for u22 Canada team in Germany winning gold at nations cup

Favourite meal: steak and potatoes and veggies

Favourite place outside of the rink: anywhere outdoors

A piece of advice you’d give young players: no matter what have fun…  do what makes you happy
