Player Feature – Jacquie Pierri

Jacquie Pierri has been a defensive stalwart on the Calgary Inferno blueline for many years. Entering her fourth season with the team, the alternate captain is called upon to play heavy minutes and matches up against the best forwards on opposing teams.

Pierri enjoyed a four year collegiate career at Brown University before being selected with the 41st overall pick in the 2013 CWHL draft. Her leadership skills are evident both on and off the ice. In the community, she can be seen at multiple public events as well as leading the charge for the Inferno’s ‘Keep the Beat’ initiative, which raises awareness for the Heart & Stroke Foundation, and this year takes place in the Infero’s January 8th home game against Brampton.

Through 10 games this season, Pierri has picked up three assists to go along with a +5 rating.
