Player Feature – Dakota Woodworth

Dakota Woodworth is playing her first season with the Calgary Inferno, after being acquired from the Boston Blades. Originally from Carlisle, Mass., Woodworth played four years for the Boston University Terriers. During her time at Boston University, Woodworth received the Friends of Hockey Unsung Hero Award during her sophomore year. Before attending Boston University, Woodworth was the two-time captain of the Boston Shamrocks and also a part of the JWHL All-Star team.

Most memorable Olympic moment (that you’ve participated in or observed): Getting to watch Pou in the 2014 gold medal game with our entire BU team at school right before practice

Best moment as a player: Either winning Hockey East with BU 3 years in a row or the whole Frozen Four & National Championship experience my freshman year

Favourite meal: Mac & Cheese

Favourite place outside of the rink: Anywhere outside

A piece of advice you’d give young players: Don’t be afraid of your potential, work hard and do the things that will allow you to become the best player you can be
