Player Feature: Brittany Esposito

Brittany Esposito is in her third year with the Calgary Inferno, after being drafted in the fifth round of the 2014 CWHL Entry Draft.

Prior to joining the Inferno, the Edmonton, Alberta native payed five years at Northeastern University. Esposito scored the first ever goal in a women’s college hockey when she opened the scoring in a game against the University of New Hampshire at Fenway Park on January 8, 2010. Esposito finished her time on the Huskies with 109 points (47 goals, 62 assists) in 133 games, which tied her for 20th all time in points for the Huskies. She served as assistant captain in her final year at Northeastern, and was named a 2013-2014 Hockey East second team all-star.

Esposito scored a career-high four goals against the Vanke Rays on Saturday, January 20 and finished first in team scoring in the regular season, proving she is a force to be reckoned with.
