Player Feature: Brianne Jenner

Brianne is wearing the maple leaf for Team Canada at this week’s Four Nations Cup in Saskatoon!

Song I am obsessed with right now: Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters The Killers (elton john cover)

Pregame ritual: I’m happy with my coffee, my music and my lacrosse ball (to roll out).

Favourite place hockey has taken me: Vienna. Such a beautfiul city. We went there for our pre-Olympic camp in 2014.

Favourite NHL team: Growing up I was obsessed with the Montreal Canadiens. Now I’ll watch whatever game is on.

Most memorable Olympic moment: Winning gold in 2014 and being able to celebrate with my parents, my teammates and coaches. It was an amazing game to be a part of.

Favourite meal: Whole lobster with lots of butter.

A piece of advice you’d give young players: Never stop improving. Look for ways to constantly evolve as a player and as an athlete.

Who’s your idol? I had the chance on two occasions last year to me the Governor General Julie Payette. She is an extremely inspiring woman. In person she is just as impressive as she is on paper. I look up to her for her passion and drive and also for her humility.
