CALGARY, ALBERTA – The Canadian Women’s Hockey League and Calgary Inferno are excited to announce Kristen Hagg as the General Manager for the 2017/2018 Season.
Hagg, a former player with the Calgary Inferno, was a member of the 2015-16 team that hoisted the Clarkson Cup for the first time at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario. Following the historic season, Kristen stepped away from the game as a player and spent the 2016-17 season as the Assistant General Manager.
A graduate of the University of Alberta, Hagg spent 5 seasons with the Pandas where she captured 4 CIS titles. She took some time away from the game prior to joining the Inferno in 2014 in order to complete her law degree at the University of Alberta and focus on starting her legal career.
Kristen was called to the Alberta Bar in 2013 and currently is an associate with Bryan & Company Calgary LLP.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Hagg played two seasons with the Edmonton Chimos of the former Western Women’s Hockey League, one season with the Salzburg Ravens of the European Women’s Hockey League and played her minor hockey in her hometown of Edmonton, Alberta.
Hagg’s familiarity and multi leveled experience with the Inferno and the city of Calgary are sure to play key roles her success as she transitions into her new role as General Manager.
